Summer is well underway, and the weather has been GREAT for boating.  Boater's safety is so extremely important .  Did you know that approximately 85% of fatal drowning victims were not wearing a lifejacket?  Also, that most accidents and fatalities happened in boats that were less than 21 feet long?  These facts in mind, please not only check your boat for mechanical safety but make sure you have lifejackets on board, and wear them!

The major cause of most boating accidents is drinking. No surprise there! I urge you to be safe and smart, limit your drinking when operator a boat just as you would if driving a car.
