Effective July 1 drivers in NH must go "hands free" on all electronic devices. That means no hand held cell phone calls/ texting/ no setting or adjusting the GPS either! Only emergency calls will be allowed such as 911. Don't pick up that device while sitting in traffic or at a red light - NOT allowed! Kids 18 and under cannot use any electronic device, hand held or otherwise.
An important reminder - MA law requires headlights to be ON when your wipers are in use. I was very surprised at the number of cars and trucks this morning, in the dark pouring rain, travelling with no headlights. At least 1 out of every 3 cars did not have their lights on.
Please help make our roads a safer place! Check out our website for other important information: www.georgetowninsurance.com or visit: http://www.handsfreenh.com for further information on changes in NH driving law.
Be safe and have a great 4th of July from all of us at Georgetown Insurance Agency.
